Commemorating, Learning, Acting: Forms of Remembrance
A study trip by the Remember working group to the U.S. state of Oklahoma
Sixteen young people from the Theodor Heuss Community School in Berlin traveled to the U.S. state of Oklahoma in June 2023. There they explored the U.S. culture of remembrance of the Holocaust and Black history, and broadened their view of their own remembrance work in Germany. A screening of the documentary film made about the trip will be followed by panel conversations, enabling an international exchange about the importance of remembrance work.
Simultaneous translation (GER <-> EN <-> GER) will be offered at the event
